ALLIED HEALTH OFFICE TECHNOLOGY

The Intro to Allied Health Office Technology Program will help you develop a strong set of administrative and computer skills that are in high demand in the medical field.
 
You’ll learn:
• Medical Terminology
• Advanced MD and Medent Software
• Medical Law & Ethics / HIPAA
• Oral / Written Communications
• CPT/ICD-10 Coding
• Medical Billing / Insurances
• Reception and Scheduling
 
Graduates of the program have found job opportunities as patient advocates, insurance claim and billing clerks, front desk receptionists, medical secretaries, and more.
 
ENROLLMENT INFORMATION: 

Attend a 2 day orientation session at the New Hope Education Center, 175 Jefferson Avenue, Buffalo NY 14210.

Call 716-842-4071 ext. 106 to schedule an orientation session. Please bring your picture ID, New York State benefit card, benefit print out and high school diploma or equivalent. You will take a placement test and fill out an application. Your test 

scores and the results of a personal interview will determine if you are eligible for the Allied Health program.

 

PROGRAM COST: 

Tuition: $795 * Textbook: $25 Various Office Supplies: $25-$50

* Most students may be eligible for financial assistance regardless of past student loan history. All eligible candidates will be assisted with tuition.

150 Hour Training: 

Day Class Hours:

Monday - Thursday 12:00pm - 3:30pm

 

Summer Hours:

Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 12:00pm

 

Evening Class Hours:

Tuesday - Thursday 5:00pm - 8:30pm

 

Basic computer competency and typing skills are required. Day classes are offered at least four (4) times a year depending on interest. Evening classes are offered at last twice a year depending on interest.
