This is an introductory course covering theory and principals of fluid flow, theory and safe operation of hydraulic-pneumatic electromechanical devices. This includes construction and operation of compressors, air tanks, exchangers, reservoirs, hydraulic/pneumatic directional valves, actuators, flow controls, pressure controls, filters, accumulators and seals. System troubleshooting, hydraulic/pneumatic system contamination control, measurement of oil viscosity, safety while operating equipment, repairing equipment, and safe handling of related materials will also be covered.
