Important Notice

The BPS Adult Education Division has transitioned to the new TASC™ (Test Assessing Secondary Completion).  The TASC™ replaces the GED® as the official no-cost exam for receiving a high school equivalency (HSE) diploma from New York State.

Mission

The Adult Education Division's mission is to provide organized and sequential High School Equivalency Diploma (HSE) preparation classes, English as a Second Language classes, and Career & Technical Education programs that are relevant to the Western New York and New York State workforce. The Division ensures that workforce education opportunities are low-cost and accessible to all WNY community members seeking education alternatives to traditional college pathways in order to secure employment with a living wage.
